Tarryn Oberholzer

B. Occ. Therapy (Hons)

I am qualified as an Occupational Therapist (OT), holding a Bachelor of Science degree with honours from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. I have now been working as a Paediatric OT for over 6 years and I am based in North and North West London heading up the OT team for a charitable organisation. My work includes direct work with children with varying diagnosis who are within mainstream schools as well as provision of training programs and insets into schools. Throughout my time as a Paediatric OT I have enjoyed working with families, teachers and children to empower them in feeling more competent and able to manage the challenges that often arise when having or teaching a child with special needs. Some of the best moments are when a parent says, "I've got it", "Do you remember what it used to be like, it's not like that anymore" and "I don't think we need to see you anymore as we know what to do now".
