Biography - Wendy Blake

Wendy Blake

BSc (Hons), MSc, Dip. Couns. Psych, MBACP

A background in drama and Theatre in Education led to the development of my interest in psychology.  I trained in psychology and psycho-dynamic psychotherapy at Roehampton Institute, the Anna Freud Centre and the Guild of Psychotherapy.  I worked for 15 years as an out-patient psychotherapist specialising in Eating Disorders at the Maudsley Hospital and the Academic Department of Psychiatry at Guy’s Hospital. During that time I discovered the importance of timely treatment for young people with eating disorders and the profound impact the conditions have upon their lives and those of their families. I find it immensely rewarding when I can provide advice leading to the access of effective services.
